The button takes you straight there. Pick the pass and your night: tickets are dated.

  2. Pay with a foreign card.

Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay. No Chinese phone number. The e-ticket comes to your email and the Trip.com app straight away.

How the night goes

What first-timers wish they'd known.

21:00
Rooms start opening. Eat first: there are restaurants in the building that open earlier.
22:30
The sweet spot to arrive. Short queues, lifts still moving, rooms filling up.
23:00
Peak starts. Expect full dance floors until about 3am, especially Fridays and Saturdays.
05:00
The last rooms close around 5–6am at weekends. The metro has stopped by now, so take a DiDi or a taxi.
  • Set up Alipay or WeChat Pay first. Bars inside are cashless; both apps take foreign cards.
  • Bring a power bank. Your ticket is on your phone, and the rental ones need a Chinese number.
  • Take the stairs. The lifts are the slowest part of the night after midnight.
  • Weeknights are calmer. Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday cost less and you can actually move on the dance floor.

Coming up

The big nights book out first.

  • 17–18 Oct
    Tomorrowland at Hero Dome

INS's sister venue by the river. Separate ticket; INS usually hosts the afterparty.

  • Late Oct
    Halloween at INS

Usually a multi-night Halloween pass and the busiest week of the year. Book your night early.

  • 31 Dec
    New Year at INS

Holiday pricing. Passes for the week go up on Trip.com when INS announces them.

Getting there

Show your driver the Chinese address, or type "INS" into DiDi.

109 Yandang Road, inside Fuxing Park, Huangpu District
上海市黄浦区雁荡路109号(复兴公园内)

Metro
Xintiandi (lines 10, 13) or South Huangpi Road (line 1), then about a 10-minute walk into Fuxing Park.
Taxi
DiDi knows it as "INS" or 雁荡路109号. It drops you at the park entrance by the building.
Home
The metro stops around 23:00, so plan on a DiDi back.

Watch it before you go

There's a lot of INS on social. These give you the best feel for it.

INS Land FAQ

Does one ticket get me into every club?

Yes. The INS pass gets you into all the clubs in the building on the night, from B1 to 6F, and you can move between them all night. Soul House (round the corner) and concerts at Hero Dome are separate tickets.

How much is an INS Land ticket?

Usually ¥168 on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday and ¥288 on Friday and Saturday. Holidays and big nights cost more. Trip.com shows the exact price for your date before you pay.

What does the pass include?

Entry to every club, a drink in each club and all-you-can-drink on the 5th floor (FRiENDS). Anything else at the bars is paid with WeChat Pay or Alipay.

Do I need a Chinese phone number to book?

No. INS's own app and WeChat mini-program need one, but Trip.com doesn't: you book with your email and a foreign card, and the ticket comes straight to your phone.

What do I need at the door?

Your ticket and your passport. ID is checked at the entrance on the ground floor and it's 18+. Bring the actual passport, not a photo.

What time should I get there?

Around 22:30–23:00. It peaks from about 23:00 to 03:00 and runs until 5 or 6am at weekends, so there's no rush, but the queues and lifts are worse after midnight. Take the stairs.

Which nights is it open?

The pass runs Wednesday to Sunday. A few rooms open on Monday and Tuesday, but most don't, so pick another night.

Is there a dress code?

Nothing strict. Streetwear and going-out clothes are both fine, and the crowd is young and dressed up at weekends.

How do I pay for drinks inside?

WeChat Pay or Alipay; cash is rarely used. Both apps take foreign Visa and Mastercard now, so set one up before you go. Bring your own power bank too: renting one needs a Chinese number.

Can I book a table or VIP?

Yes, but not with the pass: tables are booked with each club, and RADi and KEZEE do the most. Send us a request on the tables page and we'll point you to the right person.

Can I cancel?

That depends on the ticket you pick on Trip.com: the standard passes have shown "cancel anytime". Check the terms on the ticket before you pay. Changes and refunds go through Trip.com.

Pick your night.
